The “Problem:” The Client Wanted
To Choose Their Vanity
The client wanted a new bath remodel for their home. And like we do with every client, we showed various options to replace their shower, vanity, and flooring.
After their meeting with Mr. Rickard, Pamela, our scheduling and promotions expert, called the client to follow up about the appointment to make sure Mr. Rickard (JDS Bath’s Owner) had answered all their questions.
The client loved what we suggested for the shower replacement and new flooring, but they weren’t in love with our vanity recommendations. Instead, they told Pamela they had another vanity in mind – one they found on Wayfair.
Pamela asked the client to email Mr. Rickard the exact vanity she wanted so he could make sure it was good quality. We will happily install another product as long as the materials are good and the vanity will last. And if it doesn’t match our JDS Bath quality standard, then we will suggest something of better quality that looks similar.
Mr. Rickard verified that the vanity was built to last.
Everything else in the bathroom, the tile colors and style, the layout of the bathroom, the flooring color, etc. we designed to go with the client’s hand-selected vanity.

The Solution: A Bathroom Remodel That Featured
The Client’s Own Hand-Selected Vanity
After we verified that we could install the Wayfair vanity, we created a new customized quote for the client.
She LOVED everything about the quote – the details, the custom materials, and (above all else) the fair and affordable price. And, ultimately, she chose us to head her bathroom remodel.
So, we got to work. Here are some of the major renovations we made:
- A Safe, Easily-Accessible Shower With Shower Seat – The shower went through a major transformation. We ripped the old shower down to the studs, addressing some minor issues that lay underneath. We also removed a header that extended from the ceiling, which opened the shower area up more and allowed for better lighting. A convenient shower seat is also included with the new shower.
- A New And Improved Vanity (From Wayfair) – As discussed, we accommodated the client’s request for their personally selected vanity. We ordered and installed the vanity for them at a fair price. We don’t typically shop on Wayfair, but in this case, it looks GREAT with the surrounding shower, floor, and backsplash.
- Enhanced Bathroom Lighting – We replaced the client’s lighting. This gave the entire bathroom more light and more life.
- A Brand-New Backsplash – We placed the entire bathroom backsplash – the mirror, wall cover, and lighting.
- New Bathroom Flooring – We also upgraded this client’s flooring. Her bathroom floor now features a beautiful design that fits well with the style of the new shower, vanity, and backsplash.
Ultimately, the client received a beautiful design, a comfortable bathroom experience, and a safe shower experience. They loved it so much, we returned to remodel their hall bathroom.
